Dramatic but, this class will transform our entire lives by opening us up to witness suffering and come into the power and strength that suffering offers.

Despair is necessary
— Joanna Macy

Uncomfortable? Yes. Scary? Can be! Worth a little attention? Def.

The beauty of being in a class container, is that you don’t have to do it alone. You are not alone, you belong, and you are welcome here.

We will see the tarot as a tool of healing and self actualization. We will use that energy and pain to create gorgeous connection and understanding for ourselves and future querents.

Through this class you will be able to come back to your senses when confronted with hard card moments and feel a few cards closer to being a most intuitive reader!

If gathering is not your thing or you are WAY busy, don’t fret, each session will be recorded and you can engage at your own pace!

The wound is the place where the light enters you.
— Rumi

One of my favorite authors and writing teachers, Jeff Vandermeer says, not to run from the dark things happening in the brain but to turn towards them because a happy story through and through is not only boring, it is unrelatable and detached from the human experience.

When reading Tarot I used to get nervous if a hard card came up for someone, but have learned that this is where the best magic happens for people, where people feel seen in their pain, where they have a meditative moment to reflect on that thorn and are offered space to just be with what has come up.

In order to build language for when these cards come up, we will examine our own nightmares, crazy thoughts, and woundings.

Because they serve us!

They help us "know thyself", knowing the full self includes the scary less sweet parts,

we are multifaceted beings! and that's what makes us sparkle!

The next reason to sit with hardness is because almost everyone has experienced it, especially folks who ID as women! My therapist talks about this all the time, almost every woman has experienced sexual assault, betrayal of trust, body shame or feeling unsafe in her body. The more we are vulnerable and kind to our own pain, the less silent our experience is, the more community, understanding and empathy we can give and receive. To be witnessed and held is to allow others the permission to do so as well.

Your Facilitator

Hi friends! It’s me, Kennedy aka Banditi. I am so excited to share what I know about Tarot and the ways I find most enlightening for engaging this divination tool from an intuitive lean. I have been studying and reading Tarot avidly for about nine years and was raised with Earth based spirituality. This combination has me well equipped to help you attune to your ritual instinct and inner knowing. I am personally on the healing path and have been in trauma therapy for three + years. Wow! If you don't have a therapist, I highly recommend. I combine methods and tools I've gathered from that experience and my knowledge of the Tarot to guide us towards deeper relationships and gentleness with the cards and ourselves. I like to offer an abundance of homeplay rituals and activities that engage playfulness and the senses. I so look forward to getting to know you!
